One of the worse candidate experience ever.
Approached via LinkedIn by an internal recruiter.
Flattering inmail... Flattered & interested, I answered positively on the same day to have a phone interview. Reply from the recruited arrived... 5 days later, after a reminder I sent. We eventually set a call for the end of the week. The recruiter did not even show up in the call !!
Then, we eventually had this call, which went well, with a round two to plan (phone interview with the Hiring manager).
I proposed many different slots, early in the morning, evening, during the day - everytime the recruiter answered with 2 days of delay, which of course did not help to keep the slots free.
After 2 weeks, I received an email stating (not asking !) I was not motivated as I was not able to propose suitable slots and it was a proof I was actually not motivated... really ?? I answered this email, proposing another slot and asking some questions. It has never been answered.
Overall, this is the worse Recruitment experience I ever had. Not respectful, not reactive. For a company like Uber which is in the need of improving its image as an employer it's sad... ON the one hand, I regret not to have been able to go further as this experience shows there is a real room for improvement, on the other hand, I am happy it did not work, as this proved, on their side, that they are not ready to change.
However, I can recognize that this may be have linked to the recruiter, and not to the company itself.
