Me postulé a través de una recomendación de un empleado. El proceso tomó 4 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Uber (Chicago, IL) en mar 2019

      Entrevista

The interview process was rigorous, including a phone screen with a recruiter, an analytics test, a video interview with light case study with a senior manager and a 2-hour onsite interview. The onsite included two 2-on-1 interviews, for which I did an overview of my hard skills and a case interview, and one 1-on-1 interview, which was more of an overview of my soft skills. Uber gave me a salary and equity number during the first-round interview, stating that there would not be a ton of room for negotiation as they are trying to shore up their pay equity schemes. I received another offer while I waited out a decision at Uber, which I communicated to my recruiter. She assured me that I would receive a decision from Uber by a certain date. That date passed, and I sent two emails to the recruiter with no response. It was incredibly frustrating to get radio silence from her with a deadline on the table. I was only able to get a response because I reached out to the person who referred me, who reached out to her. She finally got back to me and said that while the team loved me and I got great feedback on my interviews, they wanted to bring me in at $20k less than originally discussed, with less than half the equity. I was shocked. Honestly a no would have been better than this. I told my recruiter that I was surprised because I got great feedback on my interviews. She said she agreed; she looked over my interview notes and could only see that I struggled to answer a question about incentive pricing as the reason why the team would undercut me. I have interviewed with dozens of tech companies and have never left an interview process feeling so undervalued and disrespected as I did with Uber. Overall, this was a terrible candidate experience for me and a waste of my time.

Pretty easy and straightforward. It included a small case at the end and time for questions. Hiring manager was polite and asked more about background and resume. Did not get offer

      Entrevista

First step is recruiter screening and have your "why Uber" answer ready, next was a data analysis project that has 10 questions related to an excel sheet and if you pass that, you have a conversation with a member of the team talking about a broad situational case question like "we're operating in this city and first time orders are going up, but 2nd time orders are going down, what would you look at to determine the reason?" I didn't make it past the case. I would recommend to not keep your answers to broad and for you to get to what you think is the answer while relevant to the position title and responsibilities, rather than a broad answer that is not in scope of your responsibilities. I do know the last step if you presenting a piece of work to a panel.
