I was contacted by a UST recruiter for a Data Processor BPO Operations role in Nottingham. After confirming my availability and submitting the required details, I was expecting a call on April 8th. Unfortunately, the call never came. Despite multiple follow-up emails, I received no response and only a generic rejection email much later, without any prior interaction or explanation. What disappointed me most was the disconnect between UST’s stated core values of humility and humanity and how the recruitment process was handled. These values should not merely serve as a marketing tool on the company website to attract candidates but should be actively reflected in the actions and behavior of those representing the company. As a candidate approached directly by UST, I expected basic respect and transparency. I’m sharing this feedback not purely out of frustration, but with the hope that UST will take this as an opportunity to re-evaluate its recruitment practices and ensure its core values are genuinely reflected, beginning with how potential candidates are engaged.
