I originally applied for the positing at the end of December, I received an email requesting a phone interview at the end of January, the phone interview was done before the end of January. This was simple background questions (it was an obvious script) "Tell me about your recent job..", "What made you apply for this position.." then it was some Case scenario questions. "Describe two things which affect the airline industry today...
Eventually after 2 weeks I received a request for a in person interview at the Tempe headquarters. They gave me a date for the interview, and told me someone would contact me to make flight arrangements, and no on ever did. After much trouble, and mis-communication on US Airways end, we made a new interview date and I received a flight booking. I asked if I could be flown in a day early, but was given a negative reaction.
I had a face to face interview on a Friday in mid-February. Worst ever travel arrangements, I travelled 8 Hours to Tempe, had to run to catch a Employee Shuttle, arrived 10 minutes late for the interview, they rushed me through a series of Behavior and Background based questions with the manager and director, which lasted 45 minutes, and my flight was in 40 minutes, knowing I would possible miss the flight, another employee drove me in their car, and again I began running, with customs and boarding, I almost missed the flight.
Never again will I accept to fly across America for what they call "a day trip", Going from NY to Arizona in one day is not a day trip, its called "unprofessionalism". I looked like a mess at the interview, not to mention the flight attendant accidentaly spilled coffee on my shirt which I had no time to correct.
After the face-to-face interview, I never heard back despite my several emails, finally in March, I sent a final email, and received an email saying I was not being considered.
