Met with Amazon recruiter at a Service Academy Career Fair in San Diego. Applied online for this position, and was contacted via email within approximately a week by senior recruiter, who arranged a phone interview. Interview lasted approximately 30 minutes, and consisted mostly of translating career military experience into business-related capabilities. Focus was on leadership experience, running large teams, and developing process improvements with metrics. Recruiter then arranged a second interview with executive in charge of all the retail business services position. Interviewer was friendly and informative, explaining the historical development of retail business service function at Amazon. Interview process may still continue...awaiting word.
