You don't get interviewed for the military in the normal fashion. You pass the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) and from that test the recuiter tells you what jobs are available for your skills. The military is like a vocational school and with the results from the ASVAB they to place in the best job that will fit your skills with a position the military needs at the moment. You have a physical exam and a pre-employment drug screening you have to pass. If your successful and make your way to basic you have to follow orders and keep your nose out of trouble for the extent of your training there. Once completed you are required to accomplish your job specialization training where ever it may be held. Your job training can be from 4 weeks to 1 year or longer depending on your job. After all that is said and done then you have a completed your first series of the interview process.
