I applied online, was reached out to by an HR and was told the position was on hold. After a while the position was off hold and available again, and I continued to talk with the hiring manager - some technical questions and it was pretty good. Then I was invited on site for a panel interview. I prepared a presentation that was shared and recorded, and then talked to several members on the team (some were on zoom) and had a short lab tour. The experience was pretty decent. The team reached out saying I would get a response soon, and I waited for two weeks and was informed the position was again on hold. Overall decent experience and the work culture looked pretty healthy and vibrant (I left my interview around 5PM and most people already left home). Could work out a better plan for new hires though. Also in our communications, I would not describe the culture to be very transparent - when I asked whether I could observe other teams' work to understand their process, so I can know how to incorporate aspects into the hiring team's process, I was told I should ask them and not 'see myself' what's going on.
