      Entrevista

      I applied online, passed the phone screen with HR, possibly another phone interview, then had a half-day of interviews on-site with 4 decision makers and stakeholders. Everyone I interviewed with was friendly and open. I also had a tour of the facility. After what I thought were great interviews, I was "ghosted" by HR. No communication, positive or negative, after I took a half-day away from work to interview at their office on Goose Island. A few months later, HR reached out to invite me to interview for a similar role to the one I'd originally applied for. Again, I was asked to come in for a few hours of back-to-back interviews with four or five decision makers. Then, I was asked for "one more thing" and I had to come in to complete a consulting-style case interview. I cracked the case with time to spare and dazzled my interviewer. HR "ghosted" me again for two weeks, then I was informed that the organization decided to promote someone internally. If you're invited to interview at UI, pay careful attention to the process and see if the interviewers are clear on what the role is and what the key metrics are. You might find there is lingering lack of clarity around the objective for the role (I later learned this role wasn't filled at all).
