Me postulé a través de una facultad o universidad. El proceso tomó 2 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en UCLA (UCLA, CA) en abr 2013
Entrevista
Interview usually start with introducing the professors, requirements of the class, and the time requirement. Then professor will ask about academic background and motivation for the position. The second part would be previous teaching experiences, such as experiences with grading, leading discussion, holding office hours. The last part to ask questions about particular position.
Relatively simple, quick response time from my managing advisor. Only took a few days to hear back following my application and initial interview. The rest of the onboarding process was a mess however.
It was a good interview process. Very straight forward and asked about past academic experience and ability to complete tasks. The TA experience was straightforward and easy to crack but landing one of them is hard
The expectations are familiarity with the subject, good English communication skills, teaching abilities, and regularity. They tested these and verified my credentials on my undergraduate transcripts, and basically I was good to go.
