My conversation with the recruiter proceeded exceptionally well. We delved into the role, the organization, and my enthusiasm for becoming part of the team. When discussing compensation, she candidly acknowledged that my requested amount exceeded their budget for the given level. However, she expressed willingness to explore the possibility of elevating my level to meet my requirements. Subsequently, we scheduled the next interview, and I expeditiously received an email containing the challenge project. This project entailed a compilation of 8-9 questions revolving around issues customers might encounter with their integrations and Twilio's APIs and code libraries. Just an hour after concluding the call, there was another brief conversation, albeit with unfortunate news. Regrettably, they were unable to extend the job offer due to my overqualification and budget constraints. I remain optimistic about the prospect of future opportunities at a more senior level.
