The role was to lead the company's new venture at the Airport (car owners can leave their car in return for free parking and a carwash). HR process was handled by outside headhunter firm. The scheduling was professionally handled but not much context was given to what to expect. The next round entailed a 1:1 Phone conversation with the head of Product. The interview tried to gauge interest in the position and overall knowledge of the transportation industry. Whereas other PM interviews focus on new ideas, this interview focused on how much do you believe in the unproven economics of the pilot project. Excellent candidates will show more enthusiasm for a general management role that will entail managing car lot attendees and doing operational chores. This role might be more of project management than true Product Management.
