With what should have been only two weeks tops, this extremely unprofessional interview process with this company extended over nearly five months and involved six separate interviews that led to nowhere. Throughout that time, I was asked to complete multiple unpaid assignments that were framed as “tests,” including designing an entire collection and conducting trend forecasting. I was also scheduled to meet with several employees who were not part of the department I was applying to, which made the process feel unfocused and unnecessarily prolonged. Despite the significant time and over 80 hours of work invested, communication ultimately stopped and I was ghosted by the HR department without any formal update or closure by the Director named Z.
