I received an email requesting a phone interview within a week of my application and scheduled a phone screening about one week later. From the moment I began the interview, the recruiter did not have a very nice attitude. She began to immediately fire off some very involved questions that seemed to be part of a script and were better suited for an in-person interview instead of a phone screening. For every response, she asked for more detail. I asked four or five questions about company initiatives, corporate culture, etc. The recruiter seemed put off by them and gave me sarcastic responses and then was negative about the fact that I had no further questions.

The process was very slow. After three conversations with different people at the company over the course of about 2 months from the point of applying, got an automated email saying "thanks for applying. But we're not moving forward with your application" without any feedback. Poor experience.

I'm still very frustrated with the recruiters who continue to ghost me and stay unresponsive after a very long interview process. It's the bare minimum to respond to candidates who made it to what they thought was the final round of multiple months of interviews before waiting for 2 more months to hear nothing and then seeing the job being reposted under a new title. A simple status update would've been helpful, especially in this extremely difficult job searching economy. It's definitely made me think less of Tripadvisor as a company and unlikely to use the products moving forward, which is unfortunate as someone who travels frequently.

Totally worth the wait and the process. Learned a lot during the process, which helped me prepare for the next ones even within a different industry. Did not get the position this time.
