I just had a technical interview here and it was... bad, like 1995 bad. They had a guy interview me that didn't understand the complexity of his own questions, and was definitely not ready to consider alternatives to his own answers. For example, he asked if there was a difference between a NULL field and empty string field in SQL. He just couldn't comprehend that a char field will still allocate bitmap space for an empty string. He sighed loudly and rolled his eyes at me for the rest of the interview, but not before arguing with me that a CROSS APPLY operator will return more results from the left table than a LEFT OUTER JOIN.
