PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY- It's a JOKE! The WORST interviewing experience I have ever had in my professional career. I have been a medical writer for 4 years now and I applied for a senior medical writer position. The recruiter gave me a grid to fill out on all the documents I have worked on. I did that and 2 days later I had the writing test. This test is filled with traps and you have 2 hours to work on 2 documents. I passed the test. The recruiter gave me a phone call and said, honestly I wasn't expecting you to pass the test as you didn't have any regulatory expertise, but you still did well and the HM wants to make an exception and interview you for MW 2 as you are an "unicorn". I was like okay thank you for the kind words. I gladly accepted and over the course of 2-3 weeks went through multiple interviews with senior partners and team members, I went through in total: 1. recruiter phone screen 30 mins 2. Writing test- 2 hour 3. HM and 1 Senior Partners- 1 hour 4. Another 2 senior partners - 1 hour 5. 7 team members meet and greet- 30 mins After doing all of this for a simple medical writer position, they even asked for 3 references, which I provided. I was extremely confident that I would have an offer. Finally, out of nowhere, for no rhyme or reason, the recruiter calls on a Monday at 2 PM and says since you didn't meet with 2 remaining senior partners we would like to schedule another interview 2 weeks from that date. I said fine. 24 hours later on a Tuesday, I receive a standard rejection email stating my experiences don't align well upon review. How can you reject a candidate without having him go through the final round? So, that means they had another candidate in mind and were just simply delaying my process. Such sick people in my professional career, I have never come across. Like, she even scheduled a Teams meeting with those 2 senior partners 2 weeks from that date and then rejected me 24 hours later. WHAT KIND OF A JOKE IS THIS? So, the takeaway from my experience to other candidates is please please please stay away from this company. The senior partners are rude and arrogant, they think they are the CEO of Google or something. It is a small company of 100 people but behaves as if it were a big pharma. I cannot understand how they can provide no feedback after so so so many rounds of interviews to a candidate who even passed their stupid lousy senior medical writing test without having any regulatory background. They wasted my time, their time, their senior partners' time, the recruiter's time who is shocking at her job btw, and also my 3 reference's time. I am glad that I didn't make the serious mistake of joining this company. They need to change their mindset, treat candidates with respect, and understand that there is no reason for a medical writer candidate to meet with 13 people in a company. This is not an interview for a VP-executive-level position. Moreover, I spoke with current employees privately and 2 of them stated that the company pays for positive reviews on glassdoor and there is no hierarchy (a crazy honeycomb model), have no vision and are themselves looking for other opportunities. So, as I said initially, please stay far away from this company. I am a part of a big network of medical writers and have also heard similar stories. Look at other interviews on this site and decide accordingly.
