Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 4 meses. Acudí a una entrevista en Tribogenics en ago 2014

      Entrevista

To kick things off this is a upstart company. I applied for a assembly technician position and 3 months later I got a call back. In the span of 2 weeks I was given three phone interviews which consisted of elaborating on my electromechanical back ground. The questions asked of me were component level electrical hardware assembly, heavily SMT/Through Hole work, Trouble Shooting, final enclosure assembly. I have been in the electronics field for over 10 years manufacturing a diversified line of products from component level pcb stuffing to final assembly into their enclosures. I also have extensive experience in product development. All these skills were essential requirements for the position which I meet. So I was given a in person invite for a interview. To make the interview I had to take a unpaid day off from work. On the day of my appointment I first meet with a in house recruiter who interviews me on questions that were above and beyond the requirements of the position such as allocation of raw materials from vendors. In fact between the time I was offered the interview and the time I was on site for said interview the title and responsibilities of the job I applied to and was interviewing for had changed from Assembly Technician to Engineering/Research Technician. I spoke with 4 more people all of which HEAVILY focused on the mechanical aspect of the job, the electronics part was a after thought. My last interview was with the COO and I was flat out told he was the one who expanded the position requirements on a whim before my interview. So here I'm here the whole time interviewing for a entirely different opening than what I prepared and was offered a interview for. I was drilled with questions that would be better answered by a mechanical engineer not a electronic technician. I can not talk about tribogenics products as I was made to sign a non disclosure agreement but I will say compared to the diversified line of complex products that I have been assembling for the last decade at my current place of employment tribogenics would not have been a issue. A week later after the interview I called tribogenics if only to have closure and was told they needed someone who was 95% mechanical an 5% electrical and I did not fit the part. What you should take away from this review is that this company as a upstart does not know what it needs or wants. It was wrong for tribogenics to arbitrary change the whole nature of the position I applied for after they offered me a interview for that position. I lost a day pay for no good reason applying for a a position that was in a state of flux. Four weeks after my last conversion with this company they have once again changed the position back to that of a Assembly Technician by the way. Proceed with caution with this company.
