I recently had an interview with trendyol.com for the Devops position, and unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory.
Preparation and Communication:
From the outset, communication was poor. I received the interview invitation less than 24 hours before the scheduled time, leaving little room for proper preparation. Additionally, the initial email lacked details about the interview process and the people I would be meeting with, which added unnecessary stress and confusion.
Interview Environment:
When I arrived at the company’s office, I was greeted by a receptionist who seemed unaware of my appointment. I waited for nearly 30 minutes past the scheduled time without any update. The interview room itself was small, cluttered, and distracting, which did not create a professional atmosphere conducive to a successful interview.
Interview Process:
The interview began with Interviewer, who seemed unprepared and disinterested. They repeatedly checked their phone and appeared distracted throughout our conversation. The questions asked were generic and did not seem tailored to the position I was applying for, giving the impression that they had not reviewed my resume in detail. Additionally, some of the questions were repetitive and irrelevant, which felt like a waste of time.
Professionalism:
At one point, another employee interrupted the interview to ask Interviewer a question, which was both unprofessional and disruptive. The interviewer also made a few offhand comments about the company’s internal issues, which did not instill confidence in the organization or its work environment.
Conclusion:
The interview concluded abruptly without giving me an opportunity to ask my questions or learn more about the role and the team. I left the interview feeling undervalued and disappointed by the lack of professionalism and organization displayed.
Overall, my interview experience with trendyol.com was highly unsatisfactory. The poor communication, unprofessional behavior, and lack of preparedness left a negative impression. I hope that trendyol.com can take steps to improve their interview process and provide a better experience for future candidates.
