The interview was very pleasant. I have met my future boss and the HR lady and we had a small talk of my skills, aspirations, experience and past activities. I was pleasantly surprised I had not to pass any stupid coding tests and silly brain-teasers presented by nerds lacking any emotinal intelligence lacking as in other companies I have been interviewed back then.
Later did I realize it was and is pretty common to give opportunities to formally inexperienced but promising high performers. To put it into context, the other companies offered me some lowly junior positions "we will see how you perform after next two years".
Beware: this was some years ago and the bureaucracy increase stemming from company expansion may have hit that.
Participated in an in‑depth technical discussion with senior backend engineers focused on evaluating proposed architectural solutions and design strategies for building a resilient, fault‑tolerant backend system. The conversation covered trade‑offs between different architectural patterns, approaches to ensuring high availability, strategies for graceful degradation, and methods for maintaining system reliability under varying load conditions. The session also included reviewing integration points, data consistency models, observability requirements, and operational considerations such as deployment, monitoring, and incident response.
