One phone interview with the recruiter that was mostly questions about my background. The second phone interview was with the hiring managers colleague that also was mostly about my background but included more specific information about the position and the company.

I had an internal recruiter reach out to me about the role. It started with a 30-minute phone screen where we discussed basics. I then spoke to the head of digital marketing for a 45-minute job interview. I was able to share my experiences and was proud of how it went. It felt like a conversation! I didn't end up getting the job because they wanted someone with a more sales background, which wasn't my strength. They have the luxury to be picky since I am sure they could find someone who has that niche experience with social media. I came here to let everyone know that the recruiter did something so counter-cultural and old-fashioned that it made my week! Amira called to let me know that I didn't get the job. No ghosting, no vague automated emails, but she treated me like a human being and provided feedback. What a classy person! I want to work for TransAmerica now! 😭😊
