Interview had 4 phases 1. A brief talk with Talent Acquisition inquiring about our expectations and giving one the insights about the role and the organization 2. Take Home Assignment : Had to design an API and code it up and submit for evaluation. Given 2 days of time I found it more than sufficient. There was no restriction on the language/framework you could use. 3. Technical Discussion with the engineers - Here I was quizzed about DBMS (Normalization, SQL, Joins, ACID properties), Authentication, API Design (Microservices), Scalable solutions, HTTP Methods, Password Hashing, JWT. There were some tricky questions as well, however I think the interviewers wanted to see how we think and communicate rather than expecting correct answers. I asked some pointers at the end on what I need to improve in order to make myself more useful to the team - got some really good advice 4. Last and Final round was a discussion with CTO which again was full of valuable advice. Talent Acquisition coordinated everything wonderfully and setup interviews from start to finish with respect for my schedule and availability. The Engineers and CTO also are very considerate and have an overall helpful attitude and give great suggestions on where to improve. Found the interview very practical as I got to build a microservice :)
