Screening with a recruiter, then two back-to-back tech screens. The first one was great. His questions were clear, his feedback was helpful and was engaged throughout the entire interview.
The second interviewer never showed up so it was rescheduled. Then during the coding part of interview, he clearly decided to do something else at the same time. I had to constantly repeat my clarifying questions since he wasn't paying attention.
The recruiters also don't set you up for success, especially when compared to the kind of recruiter support you get at other large tech companies. I had no idea who I was interviewing with and was given no context on what kind of tech screen it would be (e.g. coding in python vs. data manipulation in SQL vs. theory questions) so it was hard to prepare.

A former colleague referred me to the Data Scientist position at TikTok, which kicked off the interview process. The technical screen included a question about designing an A/B test for a ranking model, followed by an SQL challenge related to user sessions. The funny part was that the SQL problem was a twist on one I had been grinding through on PracHub just a few days prior. After some behavioral interviews, I received an offer, but ultimately decided to decline as it didn't align with my goals.
