Beware of sharing current company internal workings and practices if interviewing with them. Incredibly unprofessional, unethical, outright questionable interview process with many of the team members based in Asia therefore lack of respect/understanding. I felt like the interview was masked to lure people in from other big tech and learn about my company practices instead of focusing on my profile and experiences. It felt more like a survey than real interview.
Recruiter wasn’t very honest from the very beginning. Lack of trust and they don’t want to put anything in writing, they rather call every other day and ask me to share breakdown of my current compensation (which is not usual industry practise).
Overall, no surprise many reviews from current employees says HR or their People&Culture is bad in Tik Tok, my own experiences also goes to show it really is the case. Inexperienced self promoters in senior positions. Many other great and ethical companies out there. Hard pass in the future.

Application Screening: Recruiters review resumes and cover letters to shortlist candidates based on qualifications, experience, and fit for the role.
Initial Contact: A recruiter or HR representative reaches out, often via email or phone, to discuss the role, confirm interest, and gather basic information. This may include a brief phone screen to assess skills and cultural fit.
First-Round Interview: Typically a one-on-one or panel interview (in-person, phone, or video) with a hiring manager or team member. It focuses on your background, skills, and behavioral questions (e.g., "Tell me about a time you solved a problem"). Technical roles may include a skills test or coding challenge.

Got to the third and final round (sort of). Recruiter screen, interview with hiring manager, interview with manager's peer, and third round with someone who I also believe was the manager's peer. It was a very drawn out process with weeks in between each stage and waiting to hear something. I never got the third round interview scheduled. The recruiter reached out to me weeks after my second round for my availability, we confirmed a time over email and she said she'd follow up with details, and never did. I had grown tired of the process so did not follow up. Recruiter seemed kind, but maybe overworked.
The interview process in tiktok is average, not too good nor bad, the invitation, hr interview and also user interview seems ok, there is also technical test for several position that available
