Recruiter set up meeting with hiring manager, very conversational. Then a panel of interviews is set up if they see potential. I like this over the generic recruiter screening- this allowed for more authentic connection and questions are answered more accurately about the role.

Despite preparing thoroughly and performing well in the interviews, I was told the “fit isn’t there.” It felt as though the process was just a formality to meet local interview quota requirements, rather than a genuine attempt to hire. It’s disappointing to invest so much effort only to realize the company hadn’t seriously considered fit before shortlisting.
Recruiter reached out via LinkedIn. After talked with recruiter and a peer TPM, the interview with the hiring manager was scheduled 1.5 months later. Unfortunately, the recruiter left TikTok during this period of time. I only knew this because her TikTok email was no longer valid anymore. Completely waste time......

The whole process was fantastic. The interview was well organized. Interviewers are polite and professional. We had pleasant conversations. The result was great. I would recommend tiktok to other candidates. It seems to be a great place to work at.
