      I was contacted by a recruiter for a phone screening almost a month after applying for the position in question. I had about a half hour phone screening in which the recruiter asked me a few questions about my background and talked about both the company and the role. At the conclusion of the phone screening, the recruiter let me know that they would get back to me in a few days about next steps after consulting with their team. A few days later, I received an email from a "No Reply" address telling me that I was passed over for the position. I would have appreciated it a lot more if the recruiter in question, 1.) emailed me herself letting me know of her intentions not to move forward with me as a candidate as opposed to sending a generic email from a No Reply email address, thus robbing me the candidate of the ability to know what I could improve on for next time and 2.) if the company as a whole had a more structured hiring process because contacting someone for an initial phone screening nearly a month after they actually applied for the job is a little late to say the least. An overall off-putting experience.
