Me postulé a través de un reclutador. Acudí a una entrevista en Thoughtworks en may 2024

      Entrevista

The whole process took 7 1/2 weeks. 1. Contacted by company recruiter on LinkedIn. 2. First interview/chat with company recruiter (30 minutes). 3. Code pairing session (1 1/2 hours). 4. Feedback call (15 minutes). 5. Culture interview (1 hour). 6. Leadership interview (1 hour). 7. Technical interview (1 hour). 8. Final feedback call (15 minutes) --> No hire. The individual steps were good and so were the people involved. It wasn't too easy but it wasn't really difficult either and I got a good impression of how it is to work at the company so that was nice. However, my whole impression was soured because of two reasons: the length of the whole process and the way I was delivered my final rejection. After having passed all other steps I had my final technical interview with the Head of AI and then I waited over a week with no news. I finally got an email from the recruiter asking if I have 15 minutes on the next day to talk about my final feedback and next steps, without telling me if I passed or not. When we started the call the next day, the recruiter was all happy, chatting about how she just came back from holidays. Then, instead of telling me directly the news, she first asked me what did I think about the interview. After listening to me, she said that all the feedback from all the steps was really good, but at the last interview they said that even though I had a lot of data science experience, I did not have much experience with the latest AI technologies like genAI (which btw I was told was ok during my interview) so unfortunately they will not make me an offer. I think that leaving a person for such a long time to wait for an answer and then not directly telling them the news is quite insensitive and it felt like she was making fun of me. Why even bother to ask me first about what I thought and why adopt such a happy tone if you're going to deliver someone bad news? A little empathy and common sense would be good. Also, scheduling the interviews was a pain too. They give you a link to put your availability for the next 7 days, but then they don't reply for another 2 days or so and they tell you to keep your diary free. I spent a couple of weeks trying to schedule something, them being very slow, and me having to basically put my life on hold until they schedule an interview.

Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 3 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Thoughtworks (Santiago) en feb 2025

      Entrevista

I applied to position through linkedin, I was contacted by HR and after a 30 min interview I went to the technical round, during this last interview a data scientist was present for a live code test, the employee of Thougth works did not seem aware of the interview which was going to take me and had no knowledge of the statement so I had to take the initiative of the interview, after 30 min I decided to end the interview because the person sent by the company did not deliver guidelines or comments. I would not apply to this company again.
