FIRST OF ALL: This is not a research analyst position. This is 80% cold calling as informed by the employees.
Brief telephone interview, competency based; teamwork and collaboration and a time I had a conflict within a team. Then straight to the final interview in the firm; First part was 60 mins with 2 employees which involved a LOT of questions, mainly competency based. A time I had to meet a tight deadline, a time I failed to meet a tight deadline. Then a case study presentation which was kind of a brainstorming with the other 2; a fictional firm where I had to break down the value chain, i.e. external stakeholders and how I could receive information on the firm from those stakeholders to see how the fictional firm is performing. Finally another 40 mins interview with 3 employees, more questions such as a time I failed and disadvantaged the team with that mistake.

2 rounds. First round talk with senior research analyst, behavioral questions. Second round talk with team head, stock pitch, case study. Long discussion, taking around 90 minutes, asking everything in the cv

Dont let them trick you into thinking this is an actual research position. You will be cold calling people most of your day. The interview process is relatively simple, first spoke with a recruiter who passed me onto an in-person round. I never heard from them after that.

Given this case industry, what types of industry experts would you contact on behalf of a client who is looking to invest in a company within that sector.
Had an interview for Forum role in Hongkong. Straightforward interview. The recruiter was very pleasant and nice, she was very professional. Prepare for your understanding of the role, although she was very nice in explaining the role in details, you knew it’s a major concern if you have no idea about the position youre applying. She also provides transparent feedback which I really appreciates. Not all companies or recruiters do the same. I always see this recruiter in job fairs and she’s overall nice and very accommodating. I would recommend trying an interview as it will change your perspective about the company and the role.
