I applied for this position in April of 2016. I went through an initial phone screen with the internal recruiter, followed by an in-depth phone interview with the hiring manager. I then went through three separate in-person interviews. I first interviewed with the direct-supervisor for the position, then with an executive, and finally a panel interview where I fielded questions from four members of the team. When all was said and done, I was told that I was a strong candidate and that they would get back to me within a week. I immediately followed up with thank you notes, and waited to hear back. After ten days with no word, I sent a short (polite) email asking for an update. They didn't bother to respond and I never heard from them again.
It is absolutely unforgivably rude and unprofessional for this company to treat a person in this manner. If they didn't want to hire me, all they had to do was send me a short email stating that they were going in another direction. It would have taken less than a minute of their time and would have let me know to stop wasting my time on them. Is that too much to ask? They took up over five hours of my time with their interview process...they couldn't take 30 seconds to send me an email so that I would know what was going on?
