I applied online and a recruiter reached out to me 2 days later. I had an initial screening on zoom with the recruiter who told me to put my camera on but didn't turn his on- this created an odd vibe since I couldn't gauge his reactions. Felt unfair and disadvantageous. And then to my surprise, I moved forward to another 45 min virtual interview with a team manager and she was lovely! And then I followed up a week later with the recruiter and he let me know that they went with someone else. I had a neutral to positive experience with this one.
