Responded to an online ad. Responsibilities were outlined but "competitive salary" was all that was cited with regards to compensation. Was called in for an interview. Despite the ugly signage outside the headquarters, the interior is very nice and everyone was polite. The "interview" by the CFO and HR manager was mainly a pitch on what a great place it was to work. There were no questions about my prior positions or skills. It was when, at the very end, that I was asked the only two significant questions posed that my fears of it having been a waste of time were realized.
