I had an initial phone screen with an HR recruiter. First off she showed up 5 minutes late to the call. She did apologize for being late. I mean interviews are a 2 way street. If you're going to show up late because of technical difficulties and do not email the candidate and just keep them waiting to me that is a big red flag. Second red flag, I am the type of person that likes to ask follow up questions so that I can make sure I am answering to the best of my ability. I was taken aback when the recruiter told me that she is not able to answer my follow up question as she has a set list of questions she needs to ask. After that I immediately knew it's not an organization I want to work for. The part that was the biggest red flag was when recruiter told me this is the second time they are hiring for the position. The first time around they got to the end offered a candidate job and the candidate declined offer so they had to start process all over again.
