Never interfaced with HR and was instead approached by the hiring manager directly. 3 interviews across 7-8 weeks: first two were via Zoom, 1:1 with the hiring manager (who was essentially replacing himself after a promotion). Final interview was a meet-the-team style in-person, meeting about 9 people either 1:1 or 2:1. For a business-oriented role, I did find it strange that many of the questions I was asked in the meet-the-team interviews were about my understanding of the science. I was told at every step that I was ideal for the job, so I think ultimately the decision not to move forward with me was due to personality differences.
