I recently interviewed for a Stock Controller position at Tesco, and the process was quite straightforward. The interview was conducted in person by the hiring manager, who was friendly and professional. The questions were mostly competency-based, focusing on my previous experience with inventory management, handling stock discrepancies, and working under pressure. They also asked how I would prioritise tasks during busy periods and how I would ensure accuracy in stock levels. Overall, the interview felt well-structured, and I appreciated the chance to discuss my skills in detail.

Can you describe a time when you identified and resolved a stock discrepancy? What steps did you take to correct it
Sat down and got asked general questions, some of which where easy and some of which where a bit difficult but nothing actually daunting. They ask stuff about right to work and where you have worked before which are all easy things

Entrevista
Applied online. Called me to arrange an interview. Interview was around 20/30 mins, some competency based questions and others about more work-culture fits e.g. asking about hobbies, etc to see if you are well-rounded I guess? Gave clear and sufficiently elaborate answers. Was offered the job same day against a few dozen others which I was glad for.

Great interview, management were great and had a clear interview structure that made the whole process flow and came out with a clear understanding of the role and requirements that led to me accepting the role.
