The director interview was one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve had in the past seven years. It felt as though the interviewer had no real intention of hiring anyone and was simply going through the motions to complete the process. The questions were uninspired, such as, “How many meetings have you done?”—offering little insight into my skills or experience. The lack of engagement was palpable, as if they were exhausted and just trying to check a box. This could explain why they struggle to hire the right talent. Advice: Don’t set high expectations or waste your time. The process felt impersonal, and candidates are not treated as individuals with value. If you are a liar and will not realistic numbers, he will be happy
