Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 2 meses. Acudí a una entrevista en Teach for America (Austin, TX) en sep 2009
Entrevista
Great experience, was very informational and provided a great q and a forum. I felt free to discuss my opinions and questions. I enjoyed preparing for the interview and you must as well--make sure to get very close to their mission statement and article pre reading. I completely agree with Paul Gorski’s article, “The Myth of the Culture of Poverty. Systematic inequities have been hand crafted in this country by policy makers. Just because a student is poor does not mean that their family doesn’t care about education and it certainly doesn’t mean that the student cannot thrive. It takes a lot of work.
The interview was relaxed and they were certainly there to help. They made it clear they would help you through the whole process of becoming a teacher with your own mentor guiding you.

They asked me to walk them through a case study, explaining how I would approach the problem, structure my analysis, and recommend a solution. They focused on my thought process, communication, and ability to connect insights to business outcomes.
