Got call from HR directly and scheduled interview for selenium java testing. Appeared for interview and first round was HR discussion. HR asked about my experience, work, current CTC and expected CTC. At this point, HR wrote all these info on my CV. She negotiated CTC and agreed to a value, let’s say X. Next round was technical interview which went well. Mostly questions came up from resume. As I applied for selenium, appium, api, java testing, they asked me questions on those topic only. Ex: JDBC code, agile manifesto, parallel testing, Action class, types of waits, GIT, Maven. Post technical round, feedback was positive and it took HR just one minute to announce my result. (In some cases, they say we’ll call you back or ask to wait). Next round was managerial round. Since no manager was available on panel for that day, HR asked me to leave and said that MR will be telephonic. On Monday, manager called and asked basic stuff including technical and non-technical. After few days, HR called me and started negotiation. I said I have already negotiated to X in first round but he tried to bring it down like 1-2% is a big deal for TCS. Till that day, I was always good in negotiating with HT people. But with TCS, I had to surrender to their terms because they don’t care of you join or not. They only care that your salary should not care a set bar. Well, next day I agreed and HR sent LOI. After one week, HR sent offer letter which also reflects on iBegin portal. I accepted and discussed DOJ.
