I applied online and went through a screening call, a team discussion, and finally a task presentation. As others have already mentioned in their reviews, the selection process is flawed and my experience confirms it.
While the first two rounds were smooth, the task stage was poorly handled. The instructions were to focus on one area of my choice, keep it simple, and spend no more than four hours. I followed that exactly. Yet after presenting, I was told the work was too high level, lacked deep insights, and didn’t cover certain areas. That directly contradicts the brief. If they expected a deep dive then a duration cap of 4 hours should not have been mentioned (as deep dive in 4 hours of raw data is not possible), OR if there were specific interest in certain areas, that should have been stated instead of telling to “take it wherever you want.”
It felt like a setup for rejection rather than a fair assessment. Whether they already had another candidate in mind or were just disorganized, the result was the same a complete waste of time, just as others have reported.
