      Entrevista para Finance Director

      Entrevista

Had phone and in person interviews with eight people before the company decided to make an offer. Interviews were a half hour each which isn't a lot of time, but interviewed with a few people more than once. Was really impressed with how smart and dedicated the people with whom I met were. Also everyone was smiling, not in a "we drank the kool-aid" kind of way, but in a "I genuinely like working here" kind of way. The role for which I interviewed has been vacant for a little while and I was impressed with the way different stakeholders had pitched in to cover the function while they searched for the right candidate. The fact that I interviewed with so many people also indicates the importance they place on finding the right person for each role. The final interview is an hour with the Chairman of the company. I did not have this interview because I decided on a different opportunity. However, I see the fact that you do interview with the chairman as a positive because it means the top leadership at the company is still very invested in maintaining the culture as the company continues to grow. It was a tough decision not to join the company. Ultimately, I split hairs on my decision to take a different offer and one of the biggest negatives about this company was that it required a commute. I mention this because that is not much of a negative, especially if you live in the east bay. If they have a position in which you are interested, I would not hesitate to speak with them. I say this despite the bad press they have received recently. After meeting so many people there I truly believe that the news is not reflective of what it is really like. You will have to judge this for yourself, which is why I recommend you ask them about it if you are otherwise interested in working there. They will speak openly about it.
