I interviewed for a Field Engineer role in the London office (job title changed to DataOps Engineer shortly after) as part of the post-sales team. My experience was co-ordinated by a recruiter and the whole process was smooth, with reasonable but short periods between each phase. The first round was a telephone interview with the EMEA Lead where we discussed the company, the role, and my motivations for applying. The second round was another telephone interview however this time with an EMEA technical lead, to discuss my technical experience and interests. This was again an opportunity for me to ask lots of questions about the role. After this I was provided with a data analysis challenge and given a week to complete it. The third round was face to face interviews in the London office with the EMEA Lead again (this was more of an opportunity for me to ask questions, as he performed the first interview) followed by a review of my analysis and code with one of the current Field Engineers. We discussed my methods and results, and possible alternative methods I could have used, and how the challenge set would be solved in practice by Tamr. I was flown out to Cambridge 2 weeks later for four additional face to face interviews with the head of the post-sales team, more Field Engineers, and an Engagement Manager. Again, these interviews were a mix of 'getting to know you' discussions, technical questions, and opportunities for me to learn more about the company and the role. At the end of that week my recruiter told me that I would be receiving an offer, and I received the firm offer and documents the following week. Everyone that I interacted with as part of the interview process gave me a lot of faith that there would be a lot of opportunities to learn, that I would be well supported, and that the culture would be a good fit.
