      I applied for a contract position the agency had posted on LinkedIn. I was contacted via email by a recruiter the same day, which I appreciated, but they quickly became very pushy and aggressive about getting a call set up ASAP. As a person who was still working full-time while applying to jobs, this was difficult to accommodate and a bit frustrating to deal with. I was able to find time for the call that same afternoon, but the person I spoke to had a very strong accent and was quite difficult to understand. The call was short and basically was just to see if I was actually interested in a contract position and how much I wanted hourly. After the call, I was asked to immediately sign an agreement that I would not work with any other staffing agencies for this position. (I'm new to contract work, so not sure if this is standard practice, but it felt aggressive.) They also sent me a Word document version of my resume that they put together themselves and intended to submit to the hiring company. (Since this is a graphic design position, I had previously sent them a personally designed PDF that I prefer to use on applications.) I wasn't really pleased with the resume they created for me so I sent over some edits. Throughout my process I ended up speaking with/emailing back and forth with 3 different employees, which was messy and a bit confusing. There was a time when I received three phone calls from the recruiter back-to-back, each less than 5 minutes apart. I ended up accepting another position while in the middle of the process, but overall my impression of this staffing agency was not great and I don't think I would apply to any of their positions in the future.
