I had an initial phone call with the Technical Recruiter followed by an interview with the Hiring Manager. The Hiring Manager seemed unprepared and perhaps unqualified to be doing the interview. He ended it early after hardly asking any questions. Nevertheless I was asked to do a take home assignment. The assignment was 4 hours max and involved taking an existing project and adding some features to it. It was pretty basic but was very much real world application, which I appreciate. After not hearing from them for over a week I reached out. I was told that the Hiring Manager had decided they would not be moving forward with the process but was not given any reasons.
