After submitting my application for the specified position, I received a link to complete a test task (they estimated it to take 30 minutes). I completed the task and sent it in for review. A few days later, I received the following 'feedback' in my email: 'Thank you for submitting your solution! Unfortunately, your performance on the assigned task did not meet our expectations. Please understand that this decision was not a reflection of your abilities or potential, but rather a result of a highly competitive selection process.'
In my personal opinion, such feedback on a technical test assignment, even a small one, is a complete disrespect to the candidate and incompetence on the part of the recruiter, as it does not include even a single line of technical feedback and comes off as a generic brush-off (which it actually is). Imagine receiving similar feedback from your tech lead while working at their company.
