My initial interview was with the recruiter where we went through all the preliminary information, including my salary expectations. That was all passed along and they asked me to interview.
Proceeded to have two separate interviews with John, the CEO, where he basically picked my brain on how they can improve their digital marketing activities (social, paid, website, etc.). Prior to the second interview I was specifically asked to do a thorough evaluation of their website and have recommendations ready to present.
Hear nothing for over a week. I have to prompt the recruiter twice for updates. Come to find out they’re filling the role internally due to budget constraints.
I imagine they did this with all of the other candidates. Plugged them for insight/knowledge to just have someone on already the payroll do the all the work recommended.
