Typical interview process: phone interview + on site. All the questions were very much predictable--mostly behavioral plus limited technical questions. If you have have experiences interviewing with other financial service firms before, you should by no means be surprised. With that being said, I do think there could be differences for different interviewers. About 10+ days after the interview, I was notified for receiving an offer. The process was not very tough per se, but I have to say that the efficiency of TIAA-CREF can surely be improved. Even being a total outsider, I was still able to observe some problems within the firm's structure.

Both comprehensive and thorough, the team was good to work with throughout. Long process from start to finish but good HR department. More of a get to know you in the first phase, second phase a bit more finite in questions. Technical questions came up throughout but were not the ultimate emphasis, if you interview well you will likely get bumped to the next round where the interview is with three to four members of different groups who ask very different questions. Then after that process, you will have two final interviews with the group heads and they ultimately have to give you the okay.
