Was contacted over LinkedIn to set up an informational meeting with the company. After that had a phone call with a corporate recruiter who was very nice and professional about the whole affair. However it turned into utter chaos after.
Confirmed an interview date with the corporate recruiter only for them to ask if we could change the date. I happily offered an alternative date. They never got back to me until the day of the alternative date that I provided asking if that date was ok. The interview was at 7AM. They emailed me at 5AM. Not quite so sure what happened.
Anyway I finally have my interview and it was one of the most invasive and unprofessional interview ever. The Director of Operations asked me to give a 2 minute spiel about myself. The entire time I was talking he didn't look at me once and only stared at my resume. After my 2 minute spiel was over he immediately asked me what my father and mother did-both questions that I answered in my 2 minute spiel. Throughout the interview, he would also cut me short during my answer and ask another question that had nothing to do with the original question he asked me. Very unprofessional and it didn't seem like he cared at all about what I was saying. For a recruiting/staffing agency, you would think that interviewing would be one of their strengths.
After a half day where I job shadowed some people, I was supposed to have an exit interview with the Director of Operations again. Unfortunately he was busy but his assistant left me a phone number to call the next day. Called the next day and left a voicemail. He never called back. Completely unprofessional and I would advise anyone interested in recruiting to not apply for Tek Systems and instead apply to other better recruiting companies.
