The interview process was fairly standard, with a few introductory calls followed by two presentations to the team. However, there seemed to be some miscommunication between the managers and recruiters, as neither appeared to have full clarity on the next steps. I was initially told that I didn’t need to be a product expert, but the feedback during the presentations suggested that deeper product knowledge was expected—despite only having about a week to prepare. After completing the second presentation, I didn’t receive any feedback or follow-up until I reached out multiple times, eventually receiving a generic rejection email. Also asked for numerous references which I provided and they never even reach out to.
Based on my experience and what I’ve seen reflected in reviews, it seems that management doesn’t always have clear expectations or alignment around what they’re looking for in candidates, which may contribute to the team’s higher turnover.
