The process can include several stages, such as: Application The interviewer filters out candidates who don't fit the job description. Screening The interviewer assesses the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications. Assessment The interviewer evaluates the candidate's skills and knowledge in more depth to determine if they can handle the job. Role fit The interviewer determines if the candidate is a good fit for the position and team. Cultural fit The interviewer assesses how the candidate will fit into the company's values and working environment. The interview itself can also be broken down into several stages, such as: Introduction The candidate meets the interviewers and is escorted to the interview room. The interviewer can introduce themselves and other interviewers, and welcome the candidate to make them feel at ease. Small talk The interviewer can start with basic questions, such as "Why are you interested in this position?" Information gathering The interviewer can ask more involved questions, such as "Tell me about a time when you had to face an irate customer". The interviewer can also use competency-based questions to evaluate the candidate's technical knowledge and skills. Question/answer The candidate can ask questions about the role and the company. The interviewer can pitch the company by describing its values, benefits, and why the candidate should consider working there.
