Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 6 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Swick Technologies (New Berlin, WI)

      Entrevista

First off, let me start by saying there were too many red flags to count and I should never have even considered working for this company. The first step was inviting me to the office and taking a skills test. Let me mention this was a written skills test - for a technical position. I'm really not sure the last time I actually wrote anything on a piece of paper. They also seated me in a cube right next to all the employees who were taking phone calls and talking back and forth. It was very awkward having to sit there feeling like everyone was staring at you while you tried to take a written test. I completed it, turned it in and after the answers were skimmed over, I was promised a call back in 1 to 2 weeks and informed how the interview process would work. A month later, I was finally asked to come in for an interview. I feel I handled the interview well, despite everyone seeming very unorganized. Questions were all over the place and the overall interview experience seemed very unprofessional. The VP was able to step in during the middle of the interview to ask a few questions and then had to leave right away. I left and received a low-ball offer via e-mail that day. They want someone with experience, but don't seem to be willing to pay for that experience. I was not given any information I needed in order to make an educated decision. ex: Health Insurance info was not given to me, PTO policy was not explained, hours were not given, etc. I literally had to go back and forth with several different people for days just to get the information I was looking for. I wanted it e-mailed to me so that I could look it over with my husband, but they kept wanting to call me to discuss everything, which was not at all helpful. One person was even so bold as to ask me if I was pregnant over the phone just because I asked if they offered short-term disability!! At one point I finally asked when they needed to have an answer since the offer letter did not give a deadline and was told: "Well, we would like you to start tomorrow, but understand that you need to give your employer 2 weeks notice..." which again, did not answer my question at all. So I gave them a time frame that I could give them an answer by and did not hear back. Less than a week later, I received an e-mail from yet a different employee stating that I had a few hours to accept or decline the position or they were going to assume that I declined. In hindsight, there were so many red flags, I'm not even sure why I considered this position, but since they are a small and growing company I figured I could move up quickly, so I accepted the low-ball offer within the time frame stated in hopes I could advance. Not even 20 minutes later I get an e-mail from yet ANOTHER person saying that they were terribly sorry that they had made a mistake and were rescinding my offer. They used a new template for my offer letter and it did not state that I only had 2 business days to accept the offer. Keep in mind, I had been communicating with them every day up until then asking tons of questions that I needed answered in order to make an intelligent decision. Questions that shouldn't have even needed to be asked. Just that day I was finally given a list of in-network doctors that were part of the health plan so I could verify if my family and I would have to switch doctors. I also think it is funny that they told me they needed to fill 6 people in this same position, but suddenly my offer was taken away. They are continuing to post the job listing daily. I'm really hoping that my experience was not the norm for this company and that they are just growing too fast. They need to slow down the growth and hire quality staff who are on the same page. If this is how they treated me, I'm worried how they treat their customers. This company might be good for someone starting out in their career. Someone with no family and who doesn't care about benefits. I feel like that is who they are really looking for to fill this position.
