Entrevista
The interview process first involved a one-hour discussion to determine suitability for the role. Then, there was a take-home assignment that took approximately 4 hours to complete (though they generously provided over a week to complete it).
After passing this stage, there were five one-hour interviews, each evaluating a different aspect of the role. These aspects included NLP model evaluation, scripting, experimental design/statistics, and experiences with previous roles/managers.
All interviews were conducted by people directly connected to the role (or closely related to it), and I found this to be refreshing compared to previous interview experiences.
There was also a 30-minute coffee chat with two team members to discuss company culture.
All interviews were conducted over zoom. My interview schedule was clear and easy to follow, and they accommodated my schedule without problem.

Re: Experimental design/statistics: Design an experiment that compares the output of two different NLP models. How would you go about doing this? What variables would be involved? What would the final analysis look like?

Entrevista
I applied for the position of Analytical Linguist in Berlin. The whole process was quite long, but transparent and well-structured. Grammarly provided relevant information about the content of each interview, so that I could prepare for it. The interviewers were very helpful and supportive.
There was a preliminary HR interview and an interview with the engineering manager. After that, a take-home task. Next, three interviews about linguistics-NLP, coding and product-oriented work. After that, one last confirmation interview with the director of engineering.

I had a phone screen with the recruiter. Was supposed to have a second phone screen with the hiring manager. Completed take home assignment but didn't advance passed that. Recruiter was late to phone screen and didn't send full take home assessment materials which was awkward.

The interview process (never concluded) with an interna recruiter from Grammarly was the most disappointing experience ever. They contacted me and they held a couple of long interviews, after which the internal recruiter (always the same) only had positive feedback. After saying they would schedule soon the next step, they entirely disappeared. My second interview was also on technical problems which I proposed original and principled solutions for. I found Grammarly to be the most unprofessional company I dealt with. Stay away from them if you're experienced and generous in your thought-sharing.
