Recruiter reached out and screened. Given a very broad scenario related the problem to be addressed little details and told to create a proposal by the recruiter without any contact with the hiring manager. No opportunity to clarify expectations. Presented a plan to diagnosis and better understand the issue with possible remedies based on outcomes to discovery to the hiring manager. This would be the approach I would take with any internal or external client. Seek the understand before advancing a remedy to ensure the right problem was solved. Was told by recruiter the hiring manager said I was 'too consultant' like which neither the recruiter nor I understood. I was told by the recruiter that the HM decided the scenario exercise was probably not the approach to hiring. To my knowledge, they did not fill the role.
