Stride- Mental Health was looking for employees and so I applied. I successfully passed the interview and reference check. This all took 1 month (interview, reference checks, getting the right certificates in NSW centre that i had to pay for: police check, NDISC, WWCC, first aid etc). When i received the contract from HR to sign. I read everything carefully and i had one question about the minimum wage I wanted to ask HR. I asked my question and HR immediately replied that they are withdrawing their offer. I was really shocked why that decision was made this sudden, just 10 minutes ago before I asked my question, HR had sent me to sign the contract. I replied and asked if the reason they were withdrawing the offer was because I questioned the minimum wage, he replied it wasn’t and that they had so many people applying. But I don’t believe that, as he sent me the offer 10minutes before that. I feel that this is unfair, i have wasted my time applying for this role and keeping myself free in the future for them. I honestly wonder what the reason could have been if it’s not about the question.
